Maison Margiela
Maison Margiela was founded in Paris by Belgian designer Martin Margiela in 1988, and the house was swiftly established as a leader in avant-garde fashion. Influential ideas and key pieces include the iconic Tabi boot, extreme silhouettes, deconstructed denim and upcycled vintage clothing. John Galliano has helmed the house since 2014 and extends Margiela’s goals of conceptualism and reinvention of classic pieces. The atelier uses experimental shapes and unexpected juxtapositions to achieve its unique mix of intellectualism and luxury for its ready-to-wear, leather bags and popular accessories.
