Maison Margiela
Maison Margiela was founded in Paris by Belgian designer Martin Margiela in 1988 and the house was swiftly established as a leader of avant-garde fashion. Influential ideas and key pieces include the iconic Tabi boot, extreme silhouettes, deconstructed denim and upcycled vintage clothing. The house has been helmed by John Galliano since 2014, who extends Margiela’s goals of conceptualism and reinvention of classic pieces. The atelier uses experimental shapes and unexpected juxtapositions to achieve its unique mix of intellectualism and luxury for their ready-to-wear, leather bags and popular accessories.
