At Chloé’s founding in 1952, Egyptian-French designer Gaby Aghion called her clothes "luxury prêt-à-porter", a concept that was unique for her time – off-the-rack but also beautifully constructed, soft and easy to wear. Designers who have left their mark on the maison include Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo, and Gabriela Hearst, with current creative director Chemena Kamali debuting in October 2023. Chloé’s tradition of effortless, feminine chic is upheld with soft dresses and outerwear often paired with platform shoes, and popular handbags such as the Woody, the Marcie, and the Tess.
