Valentino was created by Roman designer Valentino Garavani in 1960 and became known for sumptuous designs and glamorous gowns. Current creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli has continued the namesake designer’s defining look of rich jewel-toned, romantic and feminine dresses while updating the brand with the influences of streetwear and bohemia and adding the smash hit RockStud line of accessories. Valentino bridges a gap between soft silhouettes and hard textures, and the brand’s artistic glamour is enhanced with traditional Italian construction and embroidery.
