How do I know an item is authentic?

We conduct in-house authentication in our inventory department. Our team takes time to research each piece. The research during the authentication process also helps us determine the right price for your piece!

For some handbags and small leather goods we have partnered with Entrupy for authentication. Brands that come with Entrupy certifications include Hermès, Chanel, Goyard, Balenciaga, Dior, Burberry, Celine, Chloe, Dior, Fendi, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Saint Laurent.

For our fine jewelry selection, each item comes with an appraisal certificate.

What currency are the prices in?

All prices are in Canadian Dollar. However, you can switch between your prefered currency by clicking on the globe icon in the navigation.

What if the item's condition does not match the condition description on the site?

If you have received an item and its condition description does not match the item upon receipt please email with Subject Line: Item Condition and your Order Number. In the body of the email please add a brief description of the condition of the item with a few pictures. Someone from our team will be happy to assist you.

Can I modify my order?

Before Fulfillment: If you would like to cancel or modify the information on your order please email Subject Line: Modify Order and your order number. In the body fill out the updated information and reason for modification.

After order has been fulfilled: Unfortunately once an item has been shipped no modifications can be made through VSP Consignment.

When will I receive my order?

Canada: approx 3-5 business days
USA: approx 3-10 business days
Europe: approx 5-10 business days
Asia-Pacific: approx 5-14 business days

Statutory Holidays will have an affect how long orders ship.

Why has my payment been refused?

VSP Consignment works with a third-party e-commerce fraud analyst to check over all of our orders. Your payment may have been refused due to a decision made by this app, which utilizes advanced fraud detection algorithms to assess the risk associated with transactions, potentially flagging yours as suspicious based on various factors such as unusual purchasing patterns, discrepancies in provided information, or previous fraudulent activity associated with the payment method or account.

How do I know an item will fit me?

Each item description includes measurements and a generic size chart for your reference.

Are these items used?

We sell both secondhand and new items. New items are classified as NWT (New with Tags) and never worn. Secondhand pieces are categorized in the condition chart as Excellent, Very Good, Good and As Is. For more information please click here for condition chart.

I live outside of Canada, are duties and taxes included?

We ship internationally. All orders placed outside of Canada will not include duties and taxes at checkout. International orders will be shipped Duty Delivery Unpaid (DDU). Your order may incur duties, fees, and import taxes upon delivery. These fees are determined by your local customs authority and payment of these fees is obligatory to obtain your order. VSP Consignment is not responsible for any additional taxes or duties. In the event the order is refused by recipient the recipient is responsible for additional shipping, customs, duties, and taxes. What is consignment?

Consignment is when a business sells goods on behalf of the owner. Prior to the sale of goods, a sales spilt and additional fees are determined. VSP Consignment specializes in luxury, designer, and contemporary resale.

What are the benefits of consigning?

When you consign you are able to extend the lifetime of your piece by finding it a new home and you earn some money! Consignment promotes a sustainability by contributing to a circular fashion economy. VSP Consignment offers a seamless process for each consignor. We research, conduct in-house and third-party authentication, and price your pre-loved pieces.

How do I consign?

You can bring your items to either VSP Consignment (Toronto) or Vespucci Consignment (Calgary) and we will be happy to review your pieces on the spot.

If I do not live in Toronto or Calgary, how do I consign?

If you are not able to come to VSP Consignment or Vespucci Consignment you can contact with subject line: New Consignor Inquiry and your first and last name in the body of the email attach 1-2 pictures of each item you would like to consign with brand name-size. Someone from our inventory team will be happy to take a look at your pieces.

What types of items can I consign?

We accept a variety of styles from jackets, bags, shoes, accessories, homeware, and more. We accept items from vintage, gently worn and new with tags.

What season are you currently accepting for?

Spring-Summer intake begins in December and Fall-Winter intake begins in June.

What brands are you looking for/take?

We carry a wide range of brands from pre-owned luxury, designer, streetwear and contemporary. For a full scope of our offering please see our designer page.

What happens to my items if they do not sell?

Online items are carried over into the next season. Items that are not online that are priced at $150 are donated to a non-for-profit after 6 month to 1 year period. Other items may be returned to you at our discretion. In the event of item return someone from our inventory team will contact you.

Do you work with a donation facility?

VSP Consignment works with GLOW (Gently loved outfits to wear) clothing bank provided by New Circles.

How are my items valued?

Our inventory team takes time to research your items. Many criteria are taken into consideration from original retail value, current market value, condition, demand, style, and more.

Do you offer layaway?

We are happy to offer an interest free layaway option on any item at VSP. We require a non-refundable 25% deposit, after which you have 60 days to pay off your item in full.

What is Route and Green Package Protection?

Route's Green Package Protection is a package protection solution that helps cover your order in the event that your order gets lost, stolen, or damaged while in transit while also protecting the planet. We know how frustrating it is to have something happen to your order, so we’ve partnered with Route to offer added assurance that you’re supported, no matter what. Green Package Protection can be added during checkout.

Every time you add Green Package Protection to your order, Route donates to support an
agroforestry initiative that removes CO₂ from the air and promotes a flourishing ecosystem. 

You can also utilize the Route App to visually track all of your online orders in one place and easily file a claim with their team. Whether you’re tracking via the Route App or online Route’s real-time shipping updates keep you in the loop throughout every part of your delivery.

How does Route work?

If your Route-protected order ends up lost, damaged, or stolen, Route’s expert support team helps ensure that your order gets replaced or refunded as preferred. Claims will be reviewed for approval within 1-2 business days from filing.

How does Route process refunds?

Refunds: When refunding an item, Route covers the subtotal, shipping, and taxes if the merchant has Automatic Issue Resolution enabled.  

In both cases, the Route Premium cost will not be refunded. 

When Should I File a Claim?
Marked As Delivered (Stolen)

  • Claims will be reviewed no earlier than 5 calendar days and no later than 30 calendar days from when it was marked delivered. 
  • Please note, some order issues may require a police report to be filed.

Stuck In Transit (Lost)

  • For domestic orders, claims will be reviewed no earlier than 2 calendar days and no later than 30 calendar days from the last update. The maximum filing time is 365 days from the order date.
  • For international orders, claims will be reviewed no earlier than 20 calendar days and no later than 30 calendar days from the last update. The maximum filing time is 365 days from the order date.


  • Claims for damaged items require photos of the packaging and item(s) and must be filed no later than 30 calendar days from when it was marked delivered.

What if my Route protected order arrives damaged?

Route covers damage as well! To protect your order against damage that occurred during shipping, add Route Protect at checkout. 

If your order has arrived to you damaged, please take photos of the item and the packaging it arrived in to include in your claim when filing.

How do I file a claim for my lost, damaged, or stolen Route order?

If you insured your order with Route at checkout, you will receive a confirmation email from Route with a link to file a shipping issue. 

You can also file a shipping issue on Route’s app or via the web here. To file a claim, you will need your store order number OR Route ID number and the email address that was attached to the order.

VSP Consignment's collection is hand-selected by our stylists to include pieces that are masterfully crafted, versatile, and contemporary. Although many of our pieces are pre-owned, we strive to collect items of excellent condition but on occasion, there may be slight signs of wear. On pieces which do not include the size and fabric tag, we make an educated guess to the best of our ability and it is noted in the description. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding an item you are interested in.

Item has original sales tags attached and/or packaging and has never been worn.


This item is pre-owned; no visible flaws have been found.

Very Good

This item is pre-owned with minor signs of natural wear and tear. These will be noted in the condition description. May include but not limited to signs of laundering/dry cleaning.


This item is pre-owned with multiple flaws and/or signs of wear. These will be noted in the condition description. May included but not limited to, signs of abrasion, pilling, and tears on seams. Flaws are most likely repairable or already repairs. Still wearable with care.


This indicates that the item is a collectible circa twenty years or prior. Natural distressing, if any, is characteristic to the beauty of use. It is still in good condition for an item from a previous time. Any specific flaws will be noted on individual listings.

As Is

If a piece is marked “As Is” its condition has been taken into account when determining its value and price adjustments will not be made. All flaws will be listed under each item’s description. Items marked “As Is” are final sale.
