Marni
Marni’s aesthetic principles hinge on eclecticism, anti-conformity, and a love of art. The label was created in 1994 by Consuelo Castiglioni to embrace Italian workmanship in producing playful and quirky renditions of staple pieces. Now under the direction of Francesco Risso, Marni continues to create intelligent and offbeat designs with influences from the contemporary art world. Risso’s Marni is known for colourful knits, vibrant dresses, print t-shirts and eclectic layering. Now-classic accessories like the Trunk, woven Market and Tropicalia bags, funky platform sandals and sneakers round out the brand.
