Fendi
Classic Italian craftsmanship, combined with the experimental use of leather and fur, are the hallmarks of the label Adele and Edoardo Fendi, founded in 1925. Legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld joined Fendi in the 1960s; initially hired to modernize Fendi’s fur line, he created the FF logo and eventually became creative director, launching ready-to-wear in the late 1970s. Adele and Edoardo’s granddaughter Silvia Venturini Fendi joined the family business in 1994. She created hit handbags in the Baguette and the Peekaboo, helping to grow Fendi’s appeal and steering it in a global direction. The brand continues to show its modern approach with the appointment of Kim Jones as artistic director in 2020.
